Jan van Schaffelaar is about to jump out of the window of a tower, the current Oude Kerk in Barneveld. He was the captain of the Cods who had taken the tower. When the Corners surrounded the tower, they demanded that Van Schaffelaar be thrown out. When his men refused to sacrifice him, Van Schaffelaar decided to jump himself to save the lives of his men.
