The Netherlands as support and refuge for refugees to the faith, 1675. Centrally the sailing of the pilgrims from Delfshaven to America in 1620, on the left the Jewish Synagogue built in Amsterdam in 1675 by the Jews expelled from Spain and Portugal, on the right the Walloon orphanage in Amsterdam where the expelled Waldensians found refuge in 1733. Struck at the top of the medal in 1688 in memory of the loving reception of the expelled Huguenots from France, beaten at the bottom of the medal to commemorate the help provided by the Netherlands to the expelled Protestant Salzburgers in 1733.
