The shops of counter-demonstrators in Schoonhoven are attacked and thrown with dirt, 1617, Jan Luyken, 1696 - 1700 Canvas Print
In Schoonhoven, the shops of counter-demonstrators who go to church outside the city are attacked by boys and thrown with dirt, 1617. In the background, counter-demonstrators leave the city through the gate, in the foreground an open fabric shop with awning is pelted by young people with street waste. This performance by Muller (mistakenly) interpreted as the arrest of the Remonstrant preacher D. Sapma and the riot at Hoorn, 10 March 1619.
