Three windmills for drawing water, Arnoldus van Geffen, 1752 Canvas Print
On a rectangular plate are the front and back wall of a mill. The walls are openwork with lily-like ornaments and they carry the spindle, on which the blades rotate. The blades are serrated. On top of every wall of the mill is a bird. The edge of the plate is decorated with embossed flowers. The image is marked: stk.= Amsterdam, jrl.= S (1752), mt.= Arnoldus van Geffen and a crowned V. In the plate there is a hole, through which a rope can run to the spindle that can make the blades turn.
