In the middle of this title is a column with on top of the symbol of Rome, the she-wolf suckles the twins Romulus and Remus. Next to her the personification of De Tiber. Above them flies an eagle, with in its claws a cartouche with the title of the series. At the bottom of the column the globe with the Roman Empire and the portrait of John Stradanus in an oval frame with bust to the right. On either side the gods Diana and Mars. In the background the destruction of Troy and the flight of Aeneas with his father on his back and his son in hand. The print has a Latin caption. This is the title print of a twelve-part series about Roman emperors.
