On the left the younger years from zero to fifty, on the right the age of fifty to one hundred. In the middle of the stairs a representation of the Last Judgement. To the left of it is a man walking towards his bride with the text: Den Bruyloft dach baert anxst and pyn. To the right of the last judgement a funeral is shown with the text: Nae t graf sal t eeuwich bruyloft syn. At the bottom of the margin three verses in Dutch and three verses in French.
