View of the Eerste Sint-Antoniespoort in Amsterdam, anonymous, 1601 - 1652 Canvas Print
View of the Eerste Sint-Antoniespoort in Amsterdam, as seen from the Geldersekade. In the foreground several boats. This fifteenth-century building came to lie within the city (on the Nieuwmarkt) after the urban expansions of the end of the sixteenth century and thus lost its function as a city gate. In 1617-1618 it was converted into a venture. This print was numbered above left of the middle and bottom right (hh. 3.; 3). However, these numberings are removed from the paper here after printing.
