View of the Third Regulierspoort built in 1654-1655 and the accompanying bridge in Amsterdam, seen from outside the city. Along the quay and on the bridge various figures. This stone gate replaced the earlier wooden Second Regular Gate. After the Fourth Explanation and the construction of the Utrechtsepoort (1664), this building had lost its function as a city gate. From 1669 it would be used as Boterwaag. Part of a print series of Amsterdam city gates.
