Virgin and Child, Hendrik Douverman, c. 1510 - c. 1515 Canvas Print
Mary stands with her left leg bent forward and holds on the line the obliquely lying naked child, facing the viewer, which she supports with the right hand around his waist and with the left one under one leg. Mary's hair falls in spirals over shoulders and arms. She wears a finely pleated shirt that can be seen at neck and wrists. The keurs with sleeves is closed to the right in front of the chest and is held together around the waist by a sash with a raised bow. The cloak, struck to the left, is taken up under both arms. Between neck and hair on either side holes (for a necklace).
