Washbasin, anonymous, c. 1450 - c. 1500 Canvas Print
The object is composed of the following cast parts: the boiler (of which the spouts and the hengselaanzetten are inserted), the handle, the hook, the ring. The shell has a flat-ball shape and a slightly hollow-round collar, which thus makes a sharp angle. The two curved hexagonal spouts in diameter are placed in line with each other. The ends have the shape of animal heads. Perpendicular to it, against the collar, at the level of the sharp edge, are the two hengselaanzetten in the form of women's heads. The round, in cross-section rectangular, with profiles decorated with profiles, has in the middle part a widening with an eye, in which the hook with the hanging ring are arranged.
