Main portal of the western vestibule in 1923. From a northeasterly direction a view of the vestibule. From below you can see the statue of the Batavian of F. Vermeylen. On the right in the foreground you can see the image of a lying dog. On the right side of the grand staircase is the statue of "De Vrede" also by F. Vermeylen. Western entrance hall. Cross rib vault, clean masonry in different colors of brick (glazed?). No later than 1903, the vault surfaces and columns were painted white, see photo 3850.
