The object is composed of the following parts: the bottom, the wall, the handle, two chains and two wooden stoppers. The cylindrical wall has a profiled edge at the top, which is completely flat at the top. Against the edge, on both sides, in each other's extended holes are arranged in the form of a standing rectangle, the top of which is round. In the handle, which is hollow outwards, two holes are drilled at the top at the beginning, for the two switch chains, to which the wooden stoppers are attached. One is missing. At the front at the top two struck marks with respectively the crowned city coat of arms of Amsterdam and a head looking to the left, surrounded by a wreath.
