Windmill glass, anonymous, 1685 Canvas Print

High, funnel-shaped chalice of a flute glass, mounted under a silver mill. Along the edge of the chalice a band of blown gold leaf. On the chalice are the coat of arms of stadholder Prince Maurits, the coat of arms of the city of Bergen op Zoom and a pinched tree engraved, from which a branch with five orange apples sprouts on the left and a young loot with three orange apples on the right. To the left of the tree is Prince Maurits's motto 'JE MAINTIENDRAY NASSAU' and on the right his motto 'TANDEM FIT SURCULUS ARBOR'. Between the two weapons the year 1595. Under the performance a braided edge, on which stylized fruit and flower festivals hang. Between two of the fesses a low mountain can be seen. The silver mill is dated 1685 and bears the inscription 'TIS AL VOL' and along the lower edge 'Elck Wacht Sijn Ghebuerte'.
