Konische foot with pontil brand. The trunk made up of a baluster and a nodus, into which air bubbles are inserted. Slightly concave curved calyx with rounded underside. On the chalice, two representations are engraved within rococo volutes: a maternity woman with a child on her lap in a nursery and secondly an allegorical performance at the wedding presented by a man and a woman at an altar, an angel with a burning torch and a god with a column and a staff. Under the performance with the nursery is the date '21 February 1705' and under the allegorical performance the date '21 . Febru.1729'. Between the two performances is the following poem: When Van de Wall mated with Steen, Haar hart en nootlot, Toen was het iuist met een De Dagh dat Zij veriaarde. Now that Feast is re-summoned, And I in't rond gebragt, Om vol te be given, En leeg te be drunk, Uit vrindschap, te gevall', Van Steen and Van de Wall. H.
