Allegory in honour of Prince Maurice at his death, 1625. Prince Maurits standing in a large shell of the Fountain of the Netherlands' Prosperous. In the shell twelve allegorical figures who symbolize the prosperity of the Republic under the rule of Maurice. From the water of the fountain drink the personifications of Freedom of the Fatherland (Libertas Patriae) and Religion (Relligio). The hand of God cuts through the rope with which the prince's opponents try to pull his statue over. Among these opponents are Johan van Oldenbarnevelt and his sons and the other conspirators against the prince. On either side of the image the explanation of the numbers 1-14 and the letters A-H. Without the text sheet with the verse of J.J. Starter.
