Allegory on the age of majority of William V, 1766, Reinier Vinkeles (I), 1781 - 1782 Canvas Print
The prince with retinue standing opposite the Dutch Virgin with lance and freedom hat. In the background a warship. This representation under this number (FMH 4175) by Muller incorrectly interpreted as an allegory of the age of majority of Prince William V at the age of eighteen on March 8, 1766 and his installation as stadholder. However, it concerns an allegory at the Battle of the Dogger Bank (1781) in which the prince offers the Dutch Virgin his services (see FMH 4452).
