Allegory on the English King Charles II and the great fire of London as God's punishment for the arson on Terschelling, 1666. Sheet with four performances numbered 1-4. At the bottom of plate 1: the burning of the Dutch merchant fleet in the Vlie and the arson on the island of Terschelling, left the Brandaris, 18-20 August. Above left plate 2: King Charles II rewards the arsonists, in the background bonfires in the streets of London. Centre: Charles II on his throne rejects the plea of a warrior and of the country's poor and hungry inhabitants. On the wall a painting of the fall of Icarus.
