Allegory on the First Treaty of Paris, May 30, 1814. Central to calligraphy is the word 'Peace' in which at four of the five letters a banderol with inscription in honour of one of the allies Russia, Great Britain, Prussia and Austria. At the bottom of the Dutch Garden a city with some Amsterdam buildings (Royal Palace, Beurs and Waag) can be recognized. Agriculture and trade flourish in and outside the city. On the columns of the fence are the weapons of the seven provinces and of the sovereign monarch. At the entrance gate are the Dutch Virgin with a freedom lance and hat with a young hero, left and right olive branches. Behind the city the merchant fleet at sea in a rising sun. At the top of the clouds the Peace surrounded by geniuses. The print includes a separate statement.
