A statue of Minerva, as a goddess of the arts and of learning, and a statue of Stupidity, a woman with donkey ears. Between the images play putti. Three putti extract honey from a hive, other read putti and one putto wears a phrygian hat and holds a bowl, filled with papers, in his hands. At the top float three putti with loft hulls and laurel wreaths. Musical instruments are incorporated into the peripherals as a symbol for the arts. Title page for a book in which the texts are included of a society of learned men.
