Political allegory with on the left the Roman representation of Father Arents against the Dutch, in the middle a monstrous headline, on the right the anti-Roman answer in which the roles are reversed. On the left, the imperial eagle Gulik roasts the spit. Spinola and the Duke of Parma mow down the rebel country, causing the frogs (the rebels) to flee. On the riverbank a German marten with a lute (Luther). On the left a church with a cage of geese (geuzen), on the right a church service of the frogs. On the right, the frogs and geese chase away the Spanish pigs and the seven-headed Roman dragon. The Dutch Lion bites off a head of the eagle. The German marten has climbed the tree and throws out the Roman relics. With caption of 4 columns in Dutch with the legends A-H and 1-9.
