Arrangement of 18th century furniture in room 189 in 1929, 1929 Canvas Print
Room 189 (now halls M 164, M 165 and M 166) originally formed a whole. Around 1898 the room was divided with three prismatic transverse walls. In between, three more transverse walls were placed, which divided the large hall into seven rooms. Shortly before 1929, the room was divided into five rooms. 18th century furniture was then exhibited. In this photo you can see furniture and against the back wall a painting by P.P. Prud'hon with a representation by Rutger Schimmelpenninck and his family. (gift from Mr and Mrs Drucker-Fraser). The furniture rooms located on the south side of the lower right wing were opened to the public on 30 May 1929.
