Christening ceremony of Prince Alexander of Orange-Nassau, the second son of William II and Anna Paulowna, in the Grote Kerk in The Hague on 24 August 1818. In the middle of the church are King William I, Prince Frederick, Princess Anna Paulowna, Queen Wilhelmina of Prussia, Princess Marianne and the Crown Prince, the father and the later King William II, who is christening the child. The baptism is served by hofkapelaan rev. Krieger. The church continues to be filled with invited guests.
