Christening ceremony of Prince Alexander of Orange-Nassau, second son of William II and Anna Paulowna, in the Grote Kerk in The Hague on August 24, 1818. In the middle of the church are King William I, Prince Frederik, Princess Anna Paulowna, Queen Wilhelmina of Prussia, Princess Marianne and the Crown Prince, the Father and the later King William II, who baptizes the child. Baptism is served by court chaplain Rev. Krieger. The church is filled with guests.
