Barometer in glass case, with gilded frame topped by two lions on the corners and a shell motif in the middle. The sign is made of black painted wood. The mercury column is surrounded by carvings with, among other things, the coats of arms of the Seven Provinces and crowned by two lions holding the coat of arms of the Republic, above the saying: "Concordia res parvae crescunt". The barometer is signed at the bottom: "N. Lanckamp, 1709" and is made for the Meeting room of the States-General in the Binnenhof in The Hague.
