The Battle of Kamperduin on 11 October 1797 between the Batavian fleet under the command of Vice Admiral Jan Willem de Winter and a British fleet under Admiral Adam Duncan. On the left the ship loses the Freedom of Winter its mast, in the foreground on the right the crew leaves the ship Hercules that is on fire. Names of other ships in the battle have also been indicated.
