Bedpan with Adam and Eve in paradise, anonymous, c. 1625 Canvas Print
The object consists of six parts: the tray, the lid, the lid edge, the hinge, the stem and the eye. The box has rotating rings on the inside and outside and a capsized edge. The convex lid, whose center point has remained visible, and which is encased in an edge adjacent to the container, has in the middle a representation of Adam and Eve in Paradise (Genesis 3, 1-8), around it an edge with holes and the inscription IS GODT WITH US WHO CAN CONS US 1625 with a French lily as punctuation. The stem has decorative pieces at the base, on the middle and at the end with, among other things, a flat nodus between two balusters placed against each other and a spherical part decorated with a profiled rib. The lid edge was probably applied in later times. The stem was broken off at the start of the bucket.
