On the outside a medallion with a portrait of Lieve Geelvinck (176-1743), mayor of Amsterdam and one of the directors of the V.O.C., for the portrait an inscription 'THE HONORABLE GREAT LORD Mr. LIEVE GEELVINCK', the other side of the head with his coat of arms; the outer edge with a decorative band in the style of the Viennese Du Paquier porcelain.
