Broken open floor in Western courtyard in 1928, 1928 Canvas Print
The northeast corner of the western courtyard with a view of the entrance to tower III and on the right the large windows to the underpass. Due to the raising of the floor, the stairs had to be shortened, it was partially demolished. The decoration above the entrance is, somewhat violated, now (1998) still to be found in the building. (see also photo 344, ) The wooden floor in the courtyard caused so many problems that it has been replaced by a raised concrete floor. This created a low basement, 2.25 meters, and a raised exhibition floor. With half-stone walls, three rooms (a large, a narrower and a semi-open space) were arranged in the courtyard. The original north, west and south façade of the courtyard were hidden from view by a low ring wall. In the gap there was a 'proliferation of canals and pipes'. in the north wall next to the entrance you can see a window at souterrai level, a cross window on the beletage. on the right is the east wall with large windows with a view of the underpass, on the far right one of the block-shaped pilasters can be seen on which statues were located
