Brooch made on the occasion of the liberation of the Netherlands on 5 May 1945. The wooden brooch is painted with 2 crossed flagpoles, with an orange flag on the left and the red white blue flag on the right. The paint of the orange flag is partially peeled off. At the top, between the flagpoles, a V is painted with orange, referring to the word freedom. At the bottom, the suggestion of vegetation has been created with greenery, possibly as a symbol of a new beginning. On the back is a simple pin and the date 5 May 1945 with ink.
