A house on the Herengracht in Amsterdam where a fire broke out on the night of April 25-26, 1683, but which was preserved by timely extinguishing with hose fire sprayers. On the left is the bridge in front of the Hartenstraat. Later condition (with the letter) is plate 14 in the Fire Spraying Book by Jan van der Heyden.
