Bust of a Man, Probably Vincent Coster, Hendrick de Keyser (I), 1608 Canvas Print
The slightly right-facing head with moustache and pointed beard shows a wrinkled forehead. Over a shirt with a stand-up collar, he wears a wambuis with a raised, outwardly curly collar, which is closed from the front with a button. The spacious seated bar, the upper of which is draped over the shoulder like a wide, flat collar, is held up by a small lion mask, which appears to be attached to a strap around the neck. The collar is backed; a slip of the bar hangs over the left shoulder forward. The bar falls off in front of the chest in loose folds on the roll of a larger lion mask and is bounded on both sides by two bands, which pass into it.
