Cabinet, anonymous, c. 1755 - c. 1765 Canvas Print
Cabinet of oak, glued with walnut and rootnut wood, consisting of an upper and a lower cabinet, both with strongly arched surfaces and in horizontal cross section with S-shaped curves. Round corner styles; corrugated bottom, middle and top frames. The sculpted ornaments consist of seed beads and vegetable motifs. Furthermore, the cabinet is on so-called "frothy" legs. The hinges and keyholes are obscured by "growing" flower branches over them. Because of all this, the entire furniture works as one ornamental shape.
