Four female busts, numbered 1 to 4, with different hairstyles and headgear. The accompanying text on pp. 43 and 44 of the sixth Cahier mentions: No. 1 (top right): 'Bonnet à la Captif'. Toque of satin 'nakara', decorated with a green ribbon with white stripes. Two biaisbands of white crepe. On the bulb of the hat a heron feather. Earrings with pearls. Fichu of linen, topped with a collerette. Bow of white ribbon. No. 2 (top left): Capote of white satin with blue stripes, decorated with purple ribbon trimmed with white. (on the print green with white) The ribbon forms two points on the front and a bow at the back (on the print bow at the front) of which the ends depend from about three to four centimeters. On the bulb two white feathers (green). The capote is usually worn on a round bonnet or a 'coëffure négligée'. Here she is presented with a ribbon hat strap 'nakara'. Earrings are rings of pearls. Fichu of linen with collerette. Hairstyle with chignon on the neck. No. 3 (bottom right): 'Grand bonnet' for the morning, with large sphere, of 'gaze d'italie'; decorated with a purple ribbon trimmed with green. The ribbon forms a bow at the front, the ends of which at the back depend two or three centimeters. Fichu of linen with collerette, decorated with two black ribbons 'à la Jeannette.' Hairstyle with chignon (bun) in the neck. No. 4 (bottom left): Hat or 'bonnet au bandeau', without sphere, of 'gaze d'italie', decorated with a ribbon in 'nakara', with large loops at the front; a rosette on the back. Earrings: rings of pearls. 'Camisole and colinette', tied with a blue ribbon. Furthermore, the text mentions that ribbons in purple; purple trimmed with white; green; green trimmed with white; lilac; lilac trimmed with white and 'nakara' are always in fashion. The print is part of the 6th Cahier from the series Cabinet des Modes ou les Modes Nouvelles. The series consists of 72 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, November 15, 1785 - November 1, 1786.
