Woman in redingote. According to the accompanying text, the redingote of cloth from Louviers is in the color 'violet de l'évèque' (color of the bishop). On the sleeves small cuffs of batist or muslin. Bodice ('Corset') and skirt of Indian taf silk in lemon yellow. Fichu of white linen, secured with a ribbon of 'nakara'. On the head an English hat ('Chapeau à l'Angloise' ) with a wide brim, trimmed with fur and a ribbon of black velvet with metal buckle. Hairstyle 'à la Conseillère'. Shoes in the same color as the redingote. In the right hand and walking stick that can also be used as an umbrella, in the left hand a white handkerchief.
