According to the accompanying text, the woman is dressed in a 'Pierrot'. On the head a 'Bonnet and Pouf' decorated with a garland of roses and a wide green ribbon. 'Coëffure vulgar' with two curls and a chignon. Fichu of 'gaze d'Italie'. Purple jacket (called caraco), trimmed with white, with a bow of green ribbon in the middle front. Apple green (bottom) skirt decorated with two white ribbons. Chinese shoes in the color 'carmelite', decorated with white ribbon, 'à la Jeanette'. The print is part of the 3rd Cahier from Cabinet des Modes ou les Modes Nouvelles. The series consists of 72 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, November 15, 1785 - November 1, 1786.
