Candlestick worn by three lions, anonymous, c. 1400 - c. 1450 Canvas Print

The object is composed of the following parts: the base and the trunk, which are cast in one whole, the grease trap, the candle pin and the three pedestals. The trunk is hollow from the inside to beyond the lower node. The profiled convois foot merges into the round profiled trunk with two knots. This is where the round grease trap connects, with the long candle pin profiled from underneath on top. The round deepened grease trap has a wide, flat, reclining edge, which turns into a narrow raised edge with six battlements. Foot, grease trap and pin are decorated with fine grooved rings. In the wall of the foot and of the grease trap, six decorations are each arranged, consisting of a perforation in the form of a five-pass. The candlestick has three cams at the bottom of the inside, which protrude downwards and to which the three lions are riveted.
