Cape of broached silk. Design: scale fruits and flowers in yellow, green, red and blue, encased in a pattern of leaves in white and red, framed by mirror-symmetrically displayed arrangements of naturalist flowers in two shades of blue, red, yellow and green and ditto leaves in white and red on a cerise-colored long distance. The fabric consists of two full-width lanes and two narrow lanes and may have been entertained into a cape for a Statue of Mary (?). Lining: écru-coloured linen and remains of blue silk. Bottom right is with pen on the lining: 6295. Label with: French and co. inc. 6295. Pinned note (ca. 1978-1998) with the letter N.
