Cartoon at the exhibition of paintings by living masters in The Hague in 1839. The award-winning works turned out to be the property of Baron de Ceva, aide to Prince Frederik and a member of the exhibition committee, before the exhibition. As the shop is boarded up, baron De Ceva leaves with a wheelbarrow laden with money bags and a painting. On the left some chests with paintings ready for transport, one with label 'Rijks m(useum) Haa(rlem)' and the other with 'Musee russe péter(sbourg)'.
