Cartoon at the music competition in Lille, 1829, anonymous, 1829 Canvas Print

Cartoon at the music competition held in Lille on June 30, 1829. The Munck of Brussels greets the Ghent Kapellmeister d'Hollander (in uniform). In the air on the left a carrier pigeon with the medal for the first prize for Ghent, in the middle a racing pigeon with the medal for the second prize for Douai and on the right a winged frog with the second medal for the first prize for Brussels, this medal is blank, however, without inscription. There was disagreement whether the Vereeniging St. Caecilia from Ghent or the Harmonie van Brussel had won the first prize at the music competition held in Lille.
