Cartoon on the Leiden clerk C. Seyn being led to prison by two police officers. In the background a vendu house for furniture where a group of women sing and dance with joy at the arrest. For the sake of his hobby (paintings), Seyn stole from the city greenhouse. On the right some paintings leaned against a cupboard, a pot of syrup and a peacock feather. The theft was discovered on October 10, 1838, the verdict handed down on September 27, 1839.
