Cartoon on the Patriots at the first anniversary in 1788 of their defeat in September 1787. The sun car of the patriots falls from the sky when attempting to drive through the Stadhouderspoort (reference to the riot around the deputies of Dordrecht, Messrs. Gevaerts and De Gijzelaar who drove their carriage through the Stadhouderspoort onto the Binnenhof, March 17, 1786). The solar car is hit by lightning bolts from the king of Prussia. On the right a crumbling pyramid (tower of Babel?) with the place names Utrecht, Gorcum and Amsterdam. In the foreground on the right desperate patriots and the left delighted Orangists. On the sheet below the representation an explanation of the representation and the legend of the numbers 1-6 with the names of the patriots.
