Box with lid decorated with representations in "carved" lacquer in red, blue, white and green on black soil. On the front the poet Li T'ai-po drank on audience. On the top of the lid the emperor visiting yang kuai-fei, who is staying in heaven. On the sides flower vases and utensils and on the back flower branches with a gold pheasant and other birds. The box is painted red on the inside. The lid crosses on the front and sides. Copper lock plate.
