Christening rug made of cream silk damask, with a pattern of and all around finished with a strip of natural-colored bobbin side: Binche lace. Rectangular model where one side is strongly wrinkled. The rug is lined with plain cream silk. Damask: the repeating pattern consists of rows of flowers connected to each other with curly tendrils. There are two types of flowers, one species per row. Lace: the repeating pattern consists of a rivière of feathered leaf revolutions with flowers and palmets. The motifs are largely made in linen stroke with openwork edges and in some leaves and flowers netslag has been applied. The motifs are connected by a ringed snowflake soil. The strip is smoothly placed at the damask, with the exception of the corners where the strip of lace is folded around the damask. The underside (outside) of the strip side is straight finished with picots.
