The coat of arms assembled according to the Royal Decree of 14 January 1814. Coastal landscape with central arm with royal crown on a pedestal. On either side of the coat of arms two lions with royal crowns, under the coat of arms a ermine cloak and the motto 'Je Maintiendrai'. At the foot of the monument are instruments and maps that refer to seafaring. On the left a warship at sea and on land symbols of the war at sea: two cannons, banners, bullets, drums and barrels. On the right a fishing boat at sea and on land symbols of commerce and fishing: fishing nets, a buoy, anchor and (herring) barrels.
