Tournai (Tournai), besieged by the Allies from June 29, 1709, and taken on September 2, 1709. The central representation of the siege encased in an architectural frame. At the top an eagle with a cartouche with a map of the city and a young monarch (probably Charles III) who tramples the Envy and Deceit. At the bottom, a resident of Tournai hands the key of the city to a female personification of unity among the Allies. On the right a cartouche with the description of the events in German.
