To the left of the bride her mother Queen Emma and Henry's nephew Grand Duke Frederick Francis IV of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. To the right of the groom are his mother Marie van Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt. The marriage was performed by Minister of Justice Pieter Wilhelm Adrianus Cort van der Linden, who acted as an official of the civil registry office for the occasion.
