In the background atrocities committed by the Dutch against the English. With caption of 6 verses of 4 lines in Dutch. On the magazine to the representation a list of the atrocities of the Dutch numbered article XII - XXVII. In the original performance, the central figure the Dutch ambassador Paulus van der Perre is explained as the spirit of the murdered Doreslaer. In the text accompanying the print, the figure is identified as Adriaen Pauw. The small scene at the top left shows the murder committed of Isaac Dorislaer by a group of masked men in inn De Zwaan on the Place in The Hague, 12 May 1649.
