Cup and saucer with the portrait of Philips, Count of Flanders, Königliche Porzellan Manufaktur, c. 1867 Canvas Print

Porcelain cup and saucer, painted on the glaze in enamel colors and gold. The outer wall of the head is divided into four compartments, in one of which a medallion with the portrait of Philip, Count of Flanders, signed 'A. Ambronn'. On both sides of this a classical representation in relief: Hercules with the lion and Europe with the bull. The ear is in the shape of a winged, classically dressed person, kneeling on curls that end in leaf vines on the head. The figure rests with both arms on a coat of arms bearing the couple's alliance coat of arms with the motto 'NICHTS OHNE GOTT'. The front of the saucer is covered with gold, with a recessed medallion on the shelf with the crowned monogram of Philip of Belgium. On the wall a decoration in gold and the edge with a band of leaf vines in relief. Marked on the bottom with the scepter including a medallion with the eagle, a scepter and a globe in its talons. The edge lettering reads 'KOENIGL. PORZELLAN MANUFAKTUR'. To the right the letters S and D. On the saucer the letter M.
