De Amersfoortse Steentrekking, 1661, Steven van Lamsweerde, 1661 Canvas Print

Cartoon on the Amersfoortse Steentrekking. On 7 June 1661, under the leadership of jhr. Everard Meyster, a large boulder (the Amersfoortse Kei) was pulled from the Leusderheide to the Varkensmarkt in the city center of Amersfoort. The boulder is pulled along lying on a sled by men with ropes. On the boulder is a jester with a trumpet with the coat of arms of Meyster, around the boulder a wreath of pretzels and musical instruments. In front of the boulder Hercules, Bacchus and Ceres walk with a Cupid, on the back of the sled is a soldier under an arch of honour, including a woman with snake hair (Medusa?) and a satyr. The stage is watched by a group of considerable men and women, on the left children climb trees, on the right in the distance Amersfoort. With caption of 4 mocking glasses in Latin and Dutch.
