The sleeping farmer of Stolwijk, or the so-called sleeping Stolkse farmer. Dirk Klaasz de Bakker slept from 29 June 1706 to 11 January 1707 (27 weeks) and after arousing fell asleep again until 15 March 1707. The farmer sleeping in his bed, in the room the brother and sister of the farmer, some doctors and visitors. Printed on the sheet under the plate a verse in 2 columns in which the credulity of the doctors and visitors is mocked.
